The 37-year-old Filipina from Cricklewood, in North London, was caught on CCTV leaving the Elephant and Castle tube station on September 12 but then vanished.
The suspect of the crime was a 35-year old man who is from Lewisham, South-East London, a man the victim has met via Gumtree Internet dating site as she was seen with him weeks ago. He was in custody at a police station in the North of the city.
Ms Questin, who was originally from the Philippines, was reported missing by a friend at around midday on September 12 after last being seen at her home address. When her body was found it was naked and badly-decomposed in a black suitcase fastened with a heavy padlock. Detectives said that they believed the body had been kept elsewhere before being dumped at the remote spot, known locally as the Old Pond.
This is truly shocking and very alarming. We meet a lot of good people online, but it can be a fact too that there are some of them who has black souls. I think the lesson is we have to keep ourselves on guard, especially if we meet people we haven't met before. The odds that one of them might be a predator is not far from becoming true. I pity for Leah, may she find true Justice and find her eternal rest.
