Thankful Friday

It's Friday and I am happy!!! Happy that tomorrow is already Saturday. I can sleep all I want and be lazy at home. he he.. But what I am thankful most is that this day is a day again made and blessed by the Lord. Another day to glorify His name and praise Him for all the things He has done.

The Lord is truly good and His faithfulness is beyond compare. God is always here for me as he did to me before. Some of the specific things that I am grateful to the Master are these:

When I woke up, I turn on my cellphone and my network is back. Thank you Lord. My number is so important as clients and crew call me here. Remember , my cellphone was stolen, but we have requested sim replacement from Smart so my number is back.

Another is, I have mentioned that my ID was taken with my other valuables when the culprits victimized me, well it is back!! Some good Samaritan still live today. She found my ID somewhere and sent message to my husband's number as it is at the back of the ID and informed that she found it and advised where to pick it up. Hubby gave it to me this morning. I am so happy. Thanks again Lord.

Those are just few of the magnificent grace of Christ. His love to us is beyond measure that even in the times of trials and persecutions His faithfulness will show in ways we can never imagine. Is it not a Thankful Friday? It is definitely and everyday should be a day of gratitude to the Lord.

Happy Friday!!!!

Warning: Modus Operandi lurking around the corner

The experience I had last night made me thought that our country is really experiencing a traumatic economic downfall. That measures of poverty is looming everywhere. I was late in getting home due to some overtime work at the office. During my ride on a PUJ going home I was victimized by a Modus Operandi.

While sitting on the jeep through home, a man who was seated beside me called my attention, " Maam nakasandal po kayo ng bubblegum, kumalat po sa buhok nyo at damit" (Maam, you have leaned upon a bubblegum and it's on your hair and clothes) What??? I frantically grabbed my hair and yes chewed gum was all over it. My initial reaction was to get frustrated why some people have the liberty of spitting out chewed gum anywhere and now it's all over my hair. Damn annoying! That man helped me in telling where the gum were in other part of my hair and suggested that I get a tissue or a piece of paper to help me with it. I opened my bag and grabbed some tissue. To the lack of my notice, the other man on my other side was busy searching my bag for some valuables that they might get from me. To their satisfaction alright, they got my postpaid phone, my money purse and my company ID. Oh Men!! Just a matter of minutes , they got those without my knowledge as I was busy with the gum on my hair. Good that a 20peso bill was left on my pocket so I was able to pay for tricycle to get me through our village. Great too that they didn't locate my other cellphone and my digicam was left yesterday at the house. And most of all, Thanks to the Lord who has spared my life from those culprits.

So you better be aware of the scheme they are into. According to some reports, some would say you have a spit on your hair. Some style would drop coins purposely. Do not be fooled by these tactics. The villains would always do anything to get valuables from victims. My lesson, focus on your things and do not entertain strangers in public vehicles.

Shocked and frustration got into me after the incident. Is Philippines that poor that many people now are engaging in such activities in order to make some money? I am not only the victim. Night after night news on TV would report robbery incidents. So depressing and yet alarming for us as poverty is the root of all these madness. These should be acted upon by the controlling power of our society- The government. But would they really do something about it? It seems that men in power are also doing robberies to people's money. Reality bites.

I pity for them as I know they are liable of the deeds they do in the face of the Master someday. They might escape now , but they wont escape the one who rules the Universe. Why can't they just look for other descent means of living. Robbing other people's properties sure bring them easy money but the evil they have done surely would send their soul to the eternal Judgment. They will suffer in Hell as eternal perdition. And by that I get my revenge.

Online or Offline: Friends are all the same

Let me share my thoughts about Friends. A Human Being is created to be a part of a bigger picture. We are not created to be alone. We all exist for one another. That's why we all have friends and we are friends to others.

When one would question me which friends are of greater value to me, I would say they are all rather the same. Each being is created uniquely and we have different functions in others lives. One after another has apparently other important contributions to make our life worthwhile. Therefore for me whether be real physical friends or online friends I value all as the same. Friendship isn't a big thing - it's a million little things. A friend is one of the nicest things you can have, and one of the best things you can be.

Speaking of Friends, I am happy that I have a lot of online friends, particularly blogger friends who share thoughts about life, about love to family, and nice ideas of raising beautiful children. Though I have not seen them physically, I still treasure them and regarded them as friends and would like to thank them all for being nice and for the gift of friendship received.. It is really a great to get in touch with them through comments, tagging and moreover through IM messenger.

And just earlier, I was so happy to have chatted with a new found friend. She is Rose of Glamorous-heart.info and Cutiestbhabie.blogspot.com . I enjoyed it a lot. It feels good to talk to online friends whom you haven't met personally but feels like you've known each other forever. Thans Rose for the time.. Hope to talk to you again.

Here's a screenshot of our chat where she showed me a lot of bases for her layout creations. I super love them all. Nice talent..

Health Tips: Avoid Drinking Cold Drinks after Meal

A short Morning Tip:

It's refreshing and satisfying having a glass of very cold drink after meals. But, please be aware that cold beverages (water, juice, etc) solidifies oily stuff we just ate. It results to slowing down of digestion. Once this sludge reacts with the stomach acids, it breaks down and gets absorbed by the intestines faster than solid food, thus coating the intestine. Very soon this becomes fat and leads to colon cancer.

It is best to take hot soup or tepid water after meals. Be cautious to your health. This is our only capital for a longer life. Wishing you all a healthy day!!

Best MOM AWARD

I got this beautiful award from a pretty blogger Mommy Phebie Thank you dear for awarding me this. It is a joy unspeakable full of Glory to be rewarded with the labor of love you have put in for the best of your kids. Being a mother indeed in a profession that has no retirement.
"For me Being a mother is one of the highest salaried jobs in my field, since the payment is pure love. It is one of the my experiences when I hear my kids say, "I Love You Mama Shelo. It is never easy to be a mother as you would have to raise a good person from your ways. The formative period for building character for eternity is in the nursery. The mother is queen of that realm and sways a scepter more potent than that of kings or priests. A mother is the truest friend our children should have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon them; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with them in their sunshine desert them; when trouble thickens around them, still will we cling to them, and endeavor by our kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our children's hearts. "

Helpful Facts about Sleeping

Sleeping is very essential in maintaining a well-being. It is basically the way of rest for the body. Several important body detoxification processes happen during sleeping and may not function well when you lack sleep. It is best for us to be aware of the proper time of sleeping. Late sleeping and over-sleeping have negative impacts to our health.

Here are reasons why we need to sleep early and never wake up late.

Evening at 9 - 11pm:
is the period for getting rid of unnecessary/toxic chemicals (detoxification) from the antibody system (lymph nodes). This time should be spent by relaxing or listening to music. If an individual is still engaged in home activities or any body activities this will have a negative impact to one's health.

Evening at 11pm - 1am:
detoxification process in the liver takes place between this period. That should be done in a deep sleep state.

Early morning 1 - 3am:
detoxification process in the gall, also ideally done in a deep sleep state.

Early morning 3 - 5am:
The lungs detoxify between these hours. Severe coughing happends for cough sufferers during this time. Since the detoxification process had reached the respiratory tract, there is no need to take cough medicine so as not to interfere with toxin removal process.

Morning 5 - 7am:
This is the time for detoxification in the colon. Emptying of the bowel should be done during this period.

Morning 7 - 9am:
absorption of nutrients in the small intestine, you should be having breakfast at this time. Breakfast then should be taken earlier than the time above.

Sleeping late will disrupt your the normal process of excreting waste chemicals or substances from your body. Aside from that, midnight to 4:00 am is the time when the bone marrow produces blood. Therefore, if you care for your love ones, take care of your health. Sleep early and don't wake up late.

Married Chat City: Perfect for Married Ones

Hey I have some great news for the married ones!!! Guess what I have just found lately and actually get hooked to it. It is Married Chat .Yeah you see it right. I never thought that a site like this is created mainly for the joy of married ones who want to meet friends around the globe.

If you are a hip married lassie or guy, and you enjoy chatting why not access the above. I just did!! I just filled up the free registration form without sweats actually. Well, I was done in less than 2 minutes. That was easy. Tons of married people from the planet are flooding the chat rooms. So interesting really. It is just like the other chat sites where you can see people in chat rooms and invite them in PM. You can use your web cam of course and get to see their cams too. Perfect way to meet people. I mean if we are married , we are cautious of the people we deal with online , right? This is just our measure to protect our reputation and family. I think this is really great. Meeting friends of the same status. Less threat , that would be.

Guys, this is my honest opinion. Now, if you agree with me, why not try and follow me there.

A doll, A white Rose, A Photo and A Boy's Faith to God

This is a very beautiful and touching story. Please take time to read. It will change your life forever.....

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back. The boy couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 years old. The Cashier said, 'I'm sorry, but you don't have enough money to buy this doll.'

Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him:
''Granny, are you sure I don't have enough money?''
The old lady replied: ''You know that you don't have enough money to buy this doll, my dear.''

Then she asked him to stay the re for just 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly.
The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand.

Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to. 'It's the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much for Christmas. She was sure that Santa Claus would bring it to her.'

I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus would bring it to her after all, and not to worry.
But he replied to me sadly. ' No, Santa Claus can't bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there.'
His eyes were so sad while saying this.

'My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister.'' My heart nearly stopped.

The little boy looked up at me and said:
'I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall.'

Then he showed me a very nice photo of him where he was laughing. He then told me
'I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won't forget me.'
'I love my mommy and I wish she doesn't have to leave me, but daddy says that she has to go to be with my little sister.'

Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.
I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. 'Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll?'' 'OK' he said, 'I hope I do have enough.' I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it.

There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.
The little boy said: 'Thank you God for giving me enough money!'

Then he looked at me and added,
'I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure
I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give It to my sister. He heard me!'' 'I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn't dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose.'' 'My mommy loves white roses.'

A few minutes later, the old lady returned and I left with my basket.
I finished my shopping in a totally different state from when I started. I couldn't get the little boy out of my mind.

Then I remembered a local new spaper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young woman and a little girl.
The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma.
Was this the family of the little boy?

Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the newspaper that the young woman had passed away.
I couldn't stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was expos ed for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.

She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.
I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed forever....

The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is still, to this day, hard to imagine.
And in a fraction of a second, a drunk driver had taken all this away from him.

Lina Medina: Already a Mother at 5 years Old

Apparently, Lina Medina is the youngest mother ever recorded in History by giving birth to a healthy baby boy through ceasarian section when she was 5 years and 8 months old last May 14, 1939.

The parents of the girl at first assumed that she has an abdominal tumor as Lina's stomach was growing. So they brought her to a town physician at Pisco. The doctor who checked her up Dr. Gerardo Lozada confirmed that the swelling is not a tumor but rather due to pregnancy. She was transferred to a hospital in Lima, Peru where she delivered the child , a 5.92 lbs healthy baby boy and was named Gerardo who was named after the doctor who assisted on the birthing. Many supposed that this young girl was abused by the father and deemed that it was he who fathered the child causing the father to be jailed. But due to lack of evidence he was eventually freed.

This is truly a phenomenon. It was revealed that as a result of an extraordinary puberty disorder, she had the capability to get pregnant at a very young age. Doctors discovered that Lina began menstruating at the age of 8 months and that regularized when she aged 3.

A mother at a very young age. I couldn't imagine the stress she has undergone. At that age , children are still playing without a care, enjoying their childhood as they ought to do. Giving birth is never an easy thing. It is like placing your foot at the the edge of death. I thought of her pains, the mocks and the joy of childhood that was taken away from her.

Lina married Raul Jurado on 1972 at the age of 38 and had another child with him. Her son Gerardo lived for 40 years and died from a bone marrow disease after.

Troy Bisaya Version: Hilarious!

Hey there, I really can't stop myself from blogging about what I just have seen in Youtube. Oh well, this made my morning jolly. What can I do? My sister called me to her table via Sametime Chat to show me something. I right away went to her table wondering what was it. I thought it was about her visa for Canada. But it wasn't. What she showed me is a very hilarious video clip of the edited Troy movie, dubbed into Visayan Dialect. We were both laughing to our tears.. Ha ha. Let me show what was it.

WARNING: This video may not be suitable for minors. Some of the words are explicit and not recommended for young audiences.

Enjoy watching. (if you are bisaya.. he he)
