Third Annual Earth Hour

My company , Crown Worldwide Group will be observing the Third annual Earth Hour this March 28, 2009, Saturday at exactly 8:30-9:30 p.m. local time. It's an event organized by the environmental conservation group, WWF, during which people all over the world will turn off all nonessential lights and appliances in support of the environment. This is a call to action for everyone to do what is necessary to improve the future health of our planet.

As you may already be aware, March 28, 2009 is the third annual Earth Hour. On this day,
governments, companies and individuals are asked to turn off their lights for a period of one
hour--starting 8:30 pm local time--to raise awareness that we must all take action to be more
environmentally responsible.

The staff members from the Crown Worldwide locations around the world will be participating
in this global initiative. Since the event will take place in the evening, Crown's worldwide staff of almost 4,800
were encouraged to participate on a personal level, by turning off the
lights at their residences.

I wanted to share this opportunity with you in case you wanted to consider having your own
company get involved. It's a relatively simple initiative to execute but one that could go a long
way in raising awareness about the need for everyone to join together and conserve energy;
and to emphasize that every little bit helps and that every individual can make a difference.
I hope you and your company will join us in helping to make the planet healthier for future
generations.

For more information on Earth Hour, please visit Earth Hour’s Web site at www.earthhour.org.
The Web site has useful tips and tools for reducing our carbon footprint and a section where
people can register and show their support.Or, for more information about Crown's
participation, please call your local Crown representative.

Side note:
Background of Earth Hour
Earth Hour began in Sydney 2007, when 2.2 million homes and businesses turned off their lights for one hour. By 2008, the message has grown into a global movement with 50 million people switching off their lights. Global landmark such as Golden Gate in San Francisco, Rome's Colosseum, the Sydney Opera House, and the Coca-Cola billboard in Time Square stood in Darkness.

This year Earth Hour is taken into the next level, with the goal of 1 billion people switching off their lights as part of the global vote. Unlike the election, it is not a question of what country you are from, but instead of what planet you're from. VOTE EARTH is global call to every individual, every business, every community. It is a call for us to stand up and take control of the future of our planet. Be a part of It!!!!
