Friday Photo Flashback

1996
Though we have white beaches in the Philippines as you have in your places, most of the sand beaches here are of color gray... Yes, we were on one of the gray beaches here on our place on this photo. I was the one wearing red top. Look at us, I remember how happy we were playing and waddling on the waters. Those are my cousins and our uncle with me at the front.

Show your treasured pre-digital photos now and join the Mr. Linky of Alicia, our host so we can visit your posts.. Happy Friday Photo Flashback everyone!!!!

Friday Photo Flashback

Time flies in a rush. Friday again and time to dig our pre-digital photos to post here in Friday Photo Flashback. Great that Alicia started this as it's really fun to showcase precious photos that captured great memories. Got a lot of them? Join us here.

FAMILY PHOTO

My flashback today is our old family photo. If you had read my post on me and hubby's love story at COUPLES CORNER, you would know why this family photo is so precious for me. This is the first family photo where I have a complete family. Two kids with me and a father to my children. My youngest daughter was still on my tummy this time and about 6 mos in fetal age.

I got this from my wallet. Though digi-photos are "in" nowadays , I still keep this on my wallet.

OUR BABIES WILL REMAINS BABIES IN OUR HEARTS..

It is a reality that if we could, we will hold on to the idea that we could freeze the time and let our babies be babies for longer. Having a baby is like falling in love again, both with your husband and your child. Though we have number of sleepless nights and tiring days, it's always a joy to take care of them. They are the tiniest thing we ever decided to put our whole life into.

Having babies is fun, but babies grow up into people. They are growing so fast that one day they will be starting to have their own family. We will miss the times when they were so bubbly and cuddly. There would be times when they will start to feel shy whenever we kiss them on public. They will simply grow and quit to be babies. You have a lifetime to work, but children are only young once. But as a mother, though they may grow up to be great people someday, they will remain babies in my heart. I will remain their loving mother and will be here for them till my last breath.

So now, my flashback would be my babies' old photos.. I like to cherish them and remember them while they were so young and fragile.

My second son, Al'jered Nicolas when he was only months old. I love this photo as I miss him feeding from my breast. He is my only child who has been breast-fed by me.

This is Alikah, when she was only about 2 mos old. Now she is 4 years old.

For my eldest sorry I have no scanner now to scan his baby photo. But if I have a chance I'll show it to you. He was a premature baby, only weighing 2 lbs when I gave birth to him. The Lord has raised him to be a fair young man today. Aljodon is 10 years old now.

Kuya Aljodon (we call "kuya" for the eldest/older boys in the family) here is 2 years old plus with Al'jered 1 year old plus.

I have told you, I have my heart into outdoors before when I was younger. I love the mountains, the beaches and scenic places that I could visit.

I only went out for a walk and finally concluded to stay out till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in. ~John Muir, 1913,

Why do we love the sea? It is because it has some potent power to make us think things we like to think.

INITAO CAVING YEAR 2002

When my children were only two back then and I was younger, I enjoyed a lot of outdoor activities with friends. I remembered in the year 2002, we went to Initao Cave, a cave located in one of the regions of Mindanao specifically, Initao, Misamis Oriental. Unusual species of bats with cauliflower-like noses can be found in this cave. This is the only region in the country where you can find these animals and perhaps unique in the whole world, are found here.

I enjoyed the trip a lot as I remembered a lot of crawling for us to get through the small passages of the dark, cold and wet cave. I was even scared that I couldn't get out.. But of course I did!! LOL.. The experience was great and I miss doing it now that I have an additional girl and one coming this December.... Besides I am now a busy working mother doing work and at the same time taking care of my family. That's why these pictures are priceless for Me!!!

There's me coming out from the small hole. Good that I have fitted.. LOL

Though it was dark I still managed to get a pose, great that the flash was working!

These were my great friends.. I miss them a lot..

Wish I could do it again one of these days!!!

Friday Photo Flashback

Friday Flashback once again. Time to dig our album and scan those photos which brings a lot of old memories. Thanks to Alicia again for hosting this wonderful meme. Play with us along and share what you got there.

FIRST KIDDIE DRIVE/ RIDE

I can remember well how my two boys grew up without any other playmates than themselves. We used to live in a house where there was no neighbor. But the two of them got along well and were happy with each other's company when they were little.

My father bought a pedal-jeep for them to ride on and play. Kuya Aljodon (eldest) was the first driver as he was already nearing two year old that time while Al'jered was only months old. They drove and drove around inside the house.

The first driver- Aljodon at 1 year and 10 months old

When they were about 4 and 3 year old respectively , I bought them their first big bike and it was the first time Al'jered tried on ride and drive a bike. Kuya Aljodon had a kiddie bike (the one with plastic wheels-for babies) , but Al'jered was afraid to try it on.

Al'jered's first bike ride..

They are each other's best friend and playmate.. (My eldest and second child)

BAND LEADER

When I was in high- school , I have been so active in extra curricular activities that almost all school clubs and groups I had been a member. This week I am showing you photos of me being one of the drum corp / band leader. I had a great fun whistling the band whistle in commanding my members. Our group led the parade during school fair, town fiesta and other town affair. We had also joined drum corp exhibition competitions. It was really fun being in the group.

1979 Worn out Photo

I was supposed to scan some other photos but I was so busy that I have not done it. I have here a very old photo of me as a baby. I was only 10 months old here. This is one of the few saved baby photo of mine. That's why even though it is already smeared and tinted, I still treasure it. My children loves to look at this and thought it's amazing to see their mom once a baby.=)

Friday Photo Flashback No. 6

Friday Photo Flashback

It's another Friday- another day to celebrate memories through our treasured photographs. Always thankful to Alicia for creating this meme as I have thought that as we grow older by the passing of years it is a treasure to journey back the past even by the captured moments we see by these old photographs.

A Day with My Cousins

I found this old photograph in our old album the other day. I burst into laughter looking at our young innocent faces and the clothes we were wearing. Love to remember those times when me and my sister always had our summer vacation at our grandparents home. We just love to stay there as many of our cousins were there too.

I grew up in a lonely place with no neighbors. It's only me and my sister all the time. That made us always excited for summer vacations as we get to play with our cousins at our Lola and Lolo's place.

Look at our faces here. It gives cheerful feeling in my heart to remember the happy times when we were children wearing our best smiles though no matter how we look. LOL

First School Photo
This photo is very memorable as this was the first school photo of my sons (first day of school) when they first got their formal education. My eldest was only 4 year old in this and my second son was 3 year old smarty baby. I hold it dear as I remembered shedding tears of loneliness when I saw this one, as I was not personally there to witness this important day of their childhood as I was miles away from home.

It's amazing how time passes by. My boys now are 10 and 9 years old growing children in the Lord.
